Starr Aircraft was founded in 1984 by Bob and Shelby Barnette with the purchase of a small Fort Worth, TX based company that manufactured lighted navigational chart holders. In 1986 Starr began expanding its line of aircraft products. The company's product line now includes fireblock covers, dress covers, curtains, carpet services, cushions and embroidery. Today, Starr Aircraft is located in Sherman, TX, which is about one hour north of DFW International Airport. Starr has a staff of more than 100 employees and 52,000 square feet of production capacity.
